Winter holiday and Geiranger Light Art Festival

Welcome to relaxation and quality time with the family. We are ready to welcome our youngest guests with fun activities, a playroom, indoor and outdoor treasure hunts, an activity room, kids' disco with live music, indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a family buffet. Below, we have gathered information about activities and experiences during the winter break. Geiranger Light Festival opens Friday 14th of February and the exhibition is open every day from 18.00 - 22.00 until Sunday the 23rd of February.

Special Activities at the Hotel This Week:

  • Kids’ Disco with Karaoke – Every day from February 14th to 22nd.
  • Friday, February 14 – Monday, February 16: Yoga & CWS
    This weekend, we welcome yoga instructor Linda, who will guide us through various yoga sessions and cold water swimming in the Geirangerfjord. See the program for more details.
  • Tuesday, February 18 – Night Spa:
    Join us for a special Night Spa at Union Spa. We are extending the opening hours until 22:00 and creating a unique atmosphere with dimmed, ambient lighting.
  • Wednesday, February 19 – Spa Afterwork:
    Extended opening hours at Union Spa until 20:00.
  • Thursday, February 20 – Sunday, February 23 – Magiske Robin:
    From Thursday to Sunday, Magiske Robin will be visiting with fun activities for children! Look forward to magic shows, magic school, face painting, balloon school, and activity races. Spa Thursday with extended opening hours at Union Spa until 20:00.
  • Friday, February 21 – Afternoon Tea & Mini Concert:
    On Friday, we invite you to an Afternoon Tea Buffet and a cozy concert with Anita Valderhaug and Bjørnar Myhr. Note: Date changed!

Geiranger Light Art Festival from Friday, February 14

Experience the magic of the dark season with the Geiranger Light Art Festival! From February 14 to February 23, Geiranger will be illuminated by spectacular light installations and artworks that showcase nature from a new perspective.

The light art exhibition is open every evening from 18:00 – 22:00 and is free for everyone. In addition, the festival offers an exciting cultural program:

Friday, February 14:

  • 16:30 – Opening and artist meet-up at Norsk Fjordsenter.
  • 18:00 – Official opening of the Geiranger Light Art Festival and world premiere of the animated film Beneath the Surface.

Saturday, February 15:

  • 18:00 – Concert with Blåsemafian aboard MF Veøy. Click here for tickets and more information.

Saturday, February 22:

  • 21:30 – Cailini Lua, Irish folk music pub at Gildetun.

Sunday, February 23:

  • 18:00 – Light Vespers at Geiranger Church.
